Ride, between lake and mountains (Alps, Jura) and discover the medieval castles of the House of Savoy, the vineyards of Savoy and Switzerland (including the famous wine terraces of Lavaux, Unesco Heritage), the famous spa towns of Evian and Thonon, not to forget Montreux the 'Swiss Riviera'… This exclusive route, rich in encounters and discoveries, will allow you to appreciate all the tranquility of the banks of the Rhône, without forgetting all the beauty of the many marinas and small beaches that border Lake Geneva. This route will take you via the UCI (Union Cycliste Internationale), then to Lausanne and the IOC before reaching Geneva and its world famous water fountain! Then, the green countryside of Bas Chablais will give you the chance to discover Yvoire, one of the most beautiful medieval French villages built in the early 14th century!

DAY BY DAY BREAKDOWN

DAY 1 (Thonon-les-Bains to Montreux : 95 km, 600 m D+)

Paradise for the cyclists across the “Haut-Lac” region, your program for the first day promises to be “grandiose”! You will ride along the amazing vineyards of château de ripaille and Marin (AOP Savoie), then you will get as close as possible to the high peaks of the Pre-Alps range. Finally, you will discover the most alpine part of Lac Geneva (Haut-Lac), with the Rhône river delta and the stunning “Swiss riviera” all the way to Montreux. Enjoy!

DAY 2 (Montreux to Thonon-les-Bains : 133 km, 480 m D+)

The second day takes you in the heart of the famous Lavaux vineyards (Unesco World Heritage). Then, you will ride along the lengthy Vaudoise coast, known worldwide for its vineyards (La Côte AOC) to Geneva. The route will continue through the typical Chablais countryside with its superb medieval villages and family-run farms. The regional specialities of the lake are also part of the strong food culture of the Chablais.
